FIS Cross-Country Skiing World Cup Düsseldorf Sprint

The cross-country skiing elite will meet at the FIS Cross-country Skiing World Cup event in December on an artificial ski run installed directly on Dusseldorf's Rhine promenade – which makes the city a recognised winter-sports venue!

A spectacular 800-metre long stretch of snow is created each year against the backdrop of the Old Town, Schlossturm and Rheinturm. This is where the world's best cross-country skiers compete for world championship points. Besides the excitement of the competition, visitors may also enjoy a varied "off-piste" musical and entertainment programme.
